About
Only in darkness can we glimpse the fullest light our soul carries for us
Angie Weiland-Crosby
I am a counsellor and psychotherapist, certified with Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). My previous professional life has been dedicated to public health research and epidemiology, working in government, not-for-profit and higher education research institutes, and gaining a PhD. I have a long interest in mental health and an educational background in Psychology. While undertaking psychology studies, I found that I desired a different type of practice and was drawn to a holistic approach encompassing metaphysical awareness.
With practice and studies grounded in Jungian philosophy, I work with the relationship within the self, between the various facets of the self, and the interplay between soul and ego, mind and heart. I work with adolescents, young adults and adult clients, to address grief and bereavement, anxiety and depression, stress, relationships and existential crisis. My approach is gentle, compassionate, and client-centered, seeking to enhance self-awareness, in support of self-worthiness, empowerment and overall health and wellbeing.
On a personal level, I find solace in nature hiking, meditation, and writing. I love animals and lead a vegan lifestyle. I follow spiritual and mindfulness practices, and I read literature that deepens my awareness and understanding. I routinely indulge in fantasy novels.
