Presence

I am with you
I feel your need
Not to be conceived or deciphered
But carefully met
A nearby presence
Unobtrusive
Yet clearing away
Keeping at bay
That which might disturb
Or cause unrest

I am with you
Alone as you are
I perch as I am
In ease
Occasionally peering at you
Beady eyed
Observing
Then I sing
To let you know
That my presence is safe
And your presence is welcome
There is nothing to fear
Here

Where I am with you
And while together we sit
The grass under foot
A tree over head
We hold this small
Separate part of the world
Just for us
Just for you
Just to sit
And to know
That I am with you

Daughter of the Earth
Sister of the Air
Dancer in the Flame
Bearer of the Water

I am with you
I am with you
